"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

2 Timothy 2:15

AWANA is for children ages 3 years old through 5th grade.  The program is divided into three 30 minute segments on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:30 a.m.

Awana kids
The name AWANA is an acronym that comes from 2 Timothy 2:15 and stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."  The purpose of the AWANA ministry is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him.  It is a dynamic ministry consisting of Counsel Time (music, Bible messages and awards), Handbook Time and Game Time (active, fun, age-appropriate games). The children memorize Bible verses, play games that teach them how to work as a team and learn how to apply Christian principles to their daily lives. AWANA is led by Youth Pastor Ken Gillming.

We have many faithful adults serving Christ through AWANA and ministering to the children in their care.  For more information, please contact Ken Gillming at 252-2100.
